The cutting edge of Industry's energy transition

New Hydrogen Unit, Vila Velha de Ródão

The importance of the VVDR HYDROGEN PLANT – 30+45MW, DH2 Energy project lies in its contribution to the advancement of energetic transition to renewable sources and to promoting green hydrogen as a sustainable alternative to fossil fuels.

The project consisted of implementing a green hydrogen production plant using the electrolysis process. Green hydrogen is produced through the electrolysis of water, using electricity from renewable sources such as wind or solar energy, which minimises CO2 emission. The plant’s main objective is to serve the industries in its vicinity.
