Montemor-o-Novo Solar Photovoltaic Plant

This Montemor-o-Novo Solar Photovoltaic Plant, with a capacity of 12 MWp, represents a significant milestone for the sustainability of Portugal’s inland Alentejo region, making a substantial contribution towards reducing carbon emissions and dependence on fossil fuels.

By hBy harnessing the region’s abundant solar energy, the plant promotes the production of clean and sustainable electricity.

It was established on an area of approximately 24 hectares and it has a total solar power of 12 MWp and 18,320 bifacial photovoltaic solar panels, which allow solar radiation to be absorbed on both sides of the modules and the angle of the solar modules to be dynamically adjusted according to the position of the sun, in order to maximise the absorption of solar radiation and to optimise production efficiency.
