New Kano-Maradi Railway Line

The New Kano-Maradi railway project seeks to ensure passenger and goods transport between cities.

Thus, it will truly catalyse economic development, cross-border trade and industrial and agricultural growth.

This new railway line (1435-mm gauge) has an approximate length of 500 km, aimed at allowing a speed of 150 km/h for passengers and goods. The project also includes 19 railway stations, 6 maintenance yards and factories, 52 railway bridges, 104 road overpasses and 6 road underpasses.
