About us

Founded in Portugal in 1998, Quadrante has grown into a group of 1,700+ people across 23 countries, with operations in Europe, the Americas, Africa, the Middle East and Asia.

Our growth combines organic expansion with the integration of companies such as Procesl, Viaponte, Ambconsult, 3drivers, Meta Engineering (now operating as Quadrante Global), Izharia, Inprocess, Right Analytics and Geometric Talks, each bringing new teams, expertise and markets.

Today, they all work as one Quadrante.

  • 2026

    Geometric Talks integration

    Quadrante integrates the engineering unit of Geometric Talks, adding expertise in substations and power transmission and distribution. The integration brings a portfolio of projects in Portugal and Angola and expands the group's energy delivery capacity.

  • Permira strategic investment

    Permira makes a strategic investment to accelerate Quadrante's international expansion, particularly in the United States, and its growth in energy transition and critical infrastructure. The founders, management team and Henko Partners remain significant investors.

  • Inprocess acquisition

    Quadrante acquires Inprocess, a Spanish specialist in process simulation and digital twins for the energy and process industries. The acquisition strengthens the group's digital capabilities, from project design to operational optimisation.

  • Right Analytics acquisition

    Quadrante acquires Right Analytics, a Los Angeles-based consultancy specialised in power transmission systems. The acquisition establishes the group's platform for growth in the United States.

  • 2025

    New Dimension

    The group's companies unite under the Quadrante brand. One brand, one global team and one standard of quality across every market.

  • 2024

    3drivers acquisition and new strategic partner: Henko Partners

    3drivers, a leading company in Portugal founded in 2003, with extensive experience in services such as sustainable construction, decarbonisation and circular economy. Henko Partners, a new shareholder based in Madrid, aims to boost Quadrante's international growth in developed markets, reinforcing its position as a national leader and reference in Europe.

  • Meta Engineering (now operating as Quadrante Global) Acquisition

    Quadrante integrates Meta Engineering (now operating as Quadrante Global), one of Spain's leading engineering consultancies, together with renewable energy company Izharia. The combination creates one of the largest engineering groups in the Iberian Peninsula.

  • 2023

    Ambconsult Acquisition

    Quadrante acquires Ambconsult, a Brazilian environmental consultancy specialised in solid waste treatment and disposal systems. The acquisition strengthens the group's environmental expertise in Brazil.

  • 2021

    Business Expansion

    Quadrante launches a new business area dedicated to construction management and supervision. It extends the group's support to clients from design through to delivery on site.

  • 2016

    Viaponte Acquisition

    Quadrante acquires Viaponte, founded in 1997 and specialised in large-scale, multidisciplinary transport infrastructure projects. The acquisition reinforces the group's expertise in mobility.

  • 2012

    Procesl Acquisition

    Quadrante acquires Procesl, a Portuguese reference founded in 1986 in water resources, environmental studies, urban infrastructure and hydroelectric projects. The acquisition strengthens the group's environment and water capabilities.

  • 2006

    First international Project

    Quadrante designs its first project abroad: the Dolce Vita shopping centre in A Coruña, Spain. It marks the beginning of a journey beyond Portugal.

  • 1998

    Quadrante Founding

    Engineers João Silveira Costa, Nuno Pais Costa and Nuno Batista Martins found Quadrante, later joined by Tiago Pais Costa. Together, they lay the foundations of a multidisciplinary engineering consultancy.
