Sibiu–Pitești Highway – Section 4: Tigveni–Curtea de Argeș

A new 9.86 km section of the Sibiu–Pitești Highway is being developed between Tigveni and Curtea de Argeș in Romania. Running from km 81+900 to km 91+761, Section 4 forms part of the wider motorway programme and combines new road infrastructure with the engineering works required to integrate the route safely into its surrounding environment.

For PORR Construct, Quadrante is providing the transport infrastructure design for Section 4, covering the highway and its associated works. The technical project encompasses highway design, reinforcement and hydrotechnical works, restoration of affected road connections, environmental protection measures and traffic safety systems, providing the detailed engineering basis for construction of the 9.86 km section.

Delivering the Tigveni–Curtea de Argeș section will extend the Sibiu–Pitești Highway through a further 9.86 km of new motorway infrastructure. Quadrante’s multidisciplinary design brings together the road, reinforcement, drainage and associated environmental and safety requirements needed to support construction, while ensuring that existing road connections affected by the new alignment are appropriately restored.
