Delivering Nearly 150 MWp of Solar Capacity in Badajoz

San Serván Solar PV Plants – El Encinar I, Los Naipes and Los Naipes II

The San Serván solar development comprises three photovoltaic plants in Badajoz, Spain, with a combined installed capacity of 149.715 MWp. El Encinar I, Los Naipes and Los Naipes II form a large-scale renewable energy development designed to maximise electricity generation while supporting the environmental, landscape and social integration of the facilities throughout their operational life.

Detailed Design for the three photovoltaic plants focused on translating almost 150 MWp of planned capacity into an optimised construction solution.  Izharia, now operating as Quadrante Global developed the detailed construction definition for El Encinar I, Los Naipes and Los Naipes II, each with an installed capacity of 49.905 MWp. The scope covered detailed and construction design, and electrical studies for the 30/220 kV development, with a focus on optimising resources to maximise energy production and project performance.
