Redirecting Traffic and Improving Mobility in Săcueni

Săcueni Bypass – Technical Design for Remaining Work

Removing through-traffic from Săcueni required a dedicated bypass capable of providing an alternative route around the urban area. Extending for approximately 7.62 km through Bihor County, the new national road infrastructure was developed to improve traffic circulation while strengthening the road connection around Săcueni.

With part of the infrastructure still requiring completion, Quadrante prepared the Technical Project for the remaining works of the Săcueni Bypass. The assignment provided the detailed engineering required to progress the new-build national road, whose approved technical characteristics include a 12 m-wide road platform, a 71.4 m bridge/passage and four roundabouts.

Completing the remaining works enabled the Săcueni Bypass to fulfil its role as an alternative route around the town, shifting road movements away from the urban network. Quadrante’s technical design supported the completion of a 7.62 km piece of national road infrastructure conceived to improve mobility and reinforce regional road connectivity in Bihor County.
