Designing Civil Infrastructure for High-Voltage Transmission

Ribeirãozinho 500 kV Substation Expansion

The expansion of Ribeirãozinho 500 kV Substation formed part of the infrastructure associated with the transmission of electricity from the Teles Pires power complex. Quadrante supported the civil and building design requirements of the expanded high-voltage facility.

The expansion occupied approximately five hectares and included two 500 kV line bays, four reactors rated at 45.33 MVA and a control building. Quadrante’s multidisciplinary scope covered design coordination, architecture, structures, earthworks, drainage, HVAC, water supply and wastewater systems.
