Three Healthcare Projects. One Commitment to Resilient Communities.

Piura Healthcare Facilities – Sechura, Talara II and Máncora

Three distinct healthcare infrastructure projects in northern Peru are helping shape the future of medical services across the Piura region.

Developed under Package 11 of Peru’s Healthcare Sector programme, the reconstruction projects for Sechura, Talara II and Máncora aim to deliver modern, accessible and resilient healthcare facilities, each designed to meet the specific needs of its community.

The three projects encompass the design of Sechura Healthcare Centre (Category I-4), Talara II Healthcare Facility (Category II-1) and Máncora Healthcare Centre (Category I-3), each with its own architectural programme, clinical services and technical requirements.

Together, they integrate outpatient and emergency care, diagnostic services, maternity care and specialised medical facilities.

Developed by Consorcio GHEMET for Peru’s National Infrastructure Authority (ANIN), the projects involve multidisciplinary engineering across architecture, structures, building services and biomedical infrastructure.

BIM-based coordination supports design development through RIBA Stage 4, with particular emphasis on seismic safety, flood resilience, accessibility and operational efficiency.

Through three complementary healthcare projects, the programme aims to strengthen medical infrastructure and improve access to essential services across the Piura region.

By integrating modern clinical environments with resilient engineering and BIM-based design, each facility is being developed to support safer, more efficient healthcare delivery and greater preparedness for seismic and extreme weather events.
