Bringing Barcelona’s Rail Networks Together

La Sagrera High-Speed Intermodal Station

La Sagrera is a major new intermodal transport hub in Barcelona, designed to bring together high-speed and long-distance rail services, regional and suburban trains, Barcelona Metro Lines 4 and 9, and bus connections within a single integrated station. The project represents a major investment in the city’s rail infrastructure and sustainable mobility network

Supervising the structural works of a station where multiple railway systems converge requires close coordination across a highly complex construction environment. Meta Engineering, now operating as Quadrante Global , is responsible for the supervision and control of these works at La Sagrera. The station integrates different railway systems and transport modes, with 240-metre platforms serving Iberian-gauge services and 400-metre platforms dedicated to high-speed trains.
