Harnessing Wind Power in Castilla-La Mancha

Iniesta Wind Farm

The Iniesta Wind Farm is a 50 MW renewable energy development located in Castillejo de Iniesta, in the province of Cuenca, Spain. Comprising nine Nordex wind turbines, the project contributes new onshore wind generation capacity while integrating the civil and electrical infrastructure required for the operation of the facility.

Nine Nordex N163/5.X turbines form the core of the 50 MW wind farm, supported by the civil and electrical infrastructure required for their operation. Izharia, now operating as Quadrante Global , developed the construction project engineering, covering eight 5.55 MW turbines and one 5.60 MW turbine. The engineering scope included internal and external roads, turbine platforms, a measurement tower, drainage systems, the medium-voltage network and storage areas, together with a review of the turbine foundation design.
