Improving a Key Road Connection South of Bucharest

DN5 Bucharest–Adunații Copăceni Road Modernization

Along one of the main road corridors extending south from Bucharest, the modernization of the DN5 targeted an 11.65 km section between km 7+573 and km 19+220. The intervention was designed to improve the performance of the existing national road, combining roadway upgrades with the rehabilitation of structures along the route.

Quadrante prepared the Detailed Design for the modernization of the DN5 section between Bucharest and Adunații Copăceni. Covering approximately 11.65 km of existing national road, the wider intervention included the rehabilitation of four bridges and four culverts, providing the technical basis for upgrading the corridor while retaining its role within the existing road network.
