Boosting the Wind to drive the Energy Transition


Terras Altas de Fafe, Nave, Mourisca and Serra do Ralo Wind Farms

The project included boosting the power of 4 existing wind farms – Terras Altas de Fafe, Nave, Mourisca and Serra do Ralo – with new-generation wind turbines totalling 4.5 MW, +100 m high and 150 m in rotor diameter.

Access, platforms, cable trenches and power lines were built to ensure the assembly and connection of 11 wind turbines, equivalent to the installation of 49.5 MW of 100% renewable energy, thereby reducing dependence on fossil fuels and cutting greenhouse gas emissions.
