Harmony between sustainability and well-being

Alma Gardens

Alma Gardens is a new urban centre, developed as part of the Almarjão Sul Detailed Plan, and it is located close to Miraflores Business Park. Geared to the middle class, the project was predominantly residential, with 23,000 m2 of above-ground construction area – 15,000 m2 of which were used for housing, commerce and services.

The project follows the principles of Biophilic Architecture, with the constant presence of green spaces, particularly on the balconies and terraces with flower beds. In the sustainability area, the project was also designed to be carbon neutral and cost-controlled, making use of lighting, natural ventilation and the reuse of rainwater.

The buildings were also equipped with passive solar systems and use natural materials, contributing to improved comfort and intelligent resource consumption.
